Resolution

To change the Payroll ID:

  1. Login to EP/Classic as client admin or store manager
  2. Go to Workforce Employees screen
  3. Select Org Unit if not already selected
  4. Enter search criteria to find employee
  5. Click View Results
  6. Click Employee Name to select
  7. Click Related Links drop down menu
  8. Select Employee Tax & Payroll Information
  9. Click Payroll tab
  10. Change value of Payroll Id
  11. Click Save & Close

Error Message Code
Cause

This issue may occur if the employee's Badge Number (the employee's unique ID within the JDA application - also known as the "Payroll ID") is changed by the business in an external HR application and hence the new ID appears in the Employee Import files causing the import to fail.
