Resolution
  • The item order cycle represents the most profitable order cycle for the item/SKU, if purchased alone. Item order cycle is calculated by the system for every item/SKU using various factors such as carrying costs, item prices and demand forecast.
  • Vendor Order cycle represents the order frequency for the vendor line. Vendor Order cycle is either set manually by the Buyer or through accepting the Ordering Cycle generated and accepted from Order Policy Analysis

Additional Information
  • It is very rare that the Vendor / Source Order Cycle and the Item Order Cycle or SKU Order Cycle are the same
  • Item Order Cycle is used in the OUTL calculation when its value is greater than the Vendor Order Cycle (IOP + (>) VOC or IOC) = OUTL
  • Item Order Cycle value can be limited through use of the Item Cycle Maximum field (AWR Only)
  • SKU Order Cycle value can be overridden through use of the 'ICycle Override in Days' field (ASR/VMR Only)
  • The Item Cycle Maximum value will replace the system calculated Item Order Cycle when the system calculated item cycle exceeds the Item Cycle Maximum value
