The Lost Sales Analysis Report lists all items with lost sales for either the current period or the previous period (depending on your selection) and lists the items in descending order, according to dollar value of lost sales.
For example, the first item on the report is the item with the highest dollar value of lost sales. In short, this report is a basic cumulative total of the total sales lost due to out-of-stock items for the period. For each item that has Lost Sales, the report will list the Warehouse, Buyer ID, Vendor ID and following information:
CLS S/B - The system class code and the buyer class code for the item. SERVICE GOAL ATTND - GOAL hows the service level goal that you set for the item. ATTND shows the service level attained for the previous period. FORECAST UNITS - The amount of Item Units forecasted to be sold in the chosen period. For example, the calculation for this value when running the last period lost sales report is as follows:
Last Period / Units per Unit
or
IOLDEM / IUNITS = Forecast
DEMAND UNITS - The total E3 Demand recorded for the chosen period; and E3 Demand is calculated as follows: Shipped Sales + Lost Sales – Promotional Sales
SHIPPED UNITS - The number of units recorded as shipped in the chosen period. LOST DOLLARS - For each item, Lost Sales Dollars is calculated as Lost Sales Units * Sales Price. ACCUM/DOLLARS - A cumulative total of the amounts shown in the LOST DOLLARS column. FCST OK - If the actual demand was less than the period forecast, there is an asterisk (*) in this column indicating that lost sales are probably not the result of an incorrect forecast. For example the lost sale could be Vendor or Warehouse related instead. SI (Seasonal Item) - An asterisk in this column indicates there is a seasonal profile on this item. |
