Forecasting Methods available within Advanced Replenishment
1) E3 Regular AVS:
- Forecasts items based on its forecasting periodicity update
2) Enhanced AVS:
- Forecast updates are enabled for slow movers only when a sale occurs
- Each update accounts for the time since the last demand occurrence
3) Demand Import:
- Imports a forecast from JDA Demand
- Forecast remains until a new forecast is received from JDA Demand
- Frequency of updates is determined by the import schedule
4) E3 OPT Forecast:
- Ensures forecasts are rolled up with each update or change in ASR
5) E3 Alternate:
Based on the service goal and the 12 most recent periods of history, the system performs the following actions:
- Increases safety stock to handle the spikes
- Calculates the necessary IOP and OUTL to achieve the service goal
