URL NameIsJDA-Allocation-supported-on-Oracle-RAC-and-Data-Guard
Resolution
The use of Oracle RAC has no known impact on JDA Allocation and is viable. Please note, however, that JDA Allocation does *not* use the fail-over options that are configured in the TNSNames ora file. Also, if load balancing across clusters is desired, it might require manual loading via different connection files for different users.

With regards to Oracle Data Guard, if it is simply a use of RAC to keep a current backup copy on other hardware, then the application can tolerate it as much as it does RAC. Allocation does not utilize database load balancing or fail over protection via TNS entries.
