JDA Integrator architecture and deploymentJDA Integrator uses IBM InfoSphere DataStage Server Edition (SE), an ETL integration tool built on client-server architecture.
JDA Integrator introduction
- For JDA Integrator, install the following software on Windows 2012 R2 Standard 64-bit or Windows 2008 R2 SP1 Enterprise 64-bit platform:
- IBM InfoSphere Information Server 11.3.1: DataStage Server
- IBM InfoSphere Information Server 11.3.1: DataStage Client
- JDA Integrator Solution Project
- IBM InfoSphere Information Server 11.3.1 DataStage Server requires the following components, all of which are included on the installation media:
- WebSphere Application Server: IBM InfoSphere Information Server applications run under the WebSphere Application server.
- Information Server: Contains the IBM InfoSphere DataStage Server and Client applications that are used by JDA Integrator solutions.
- Metadata Repository: IBM InfoSphere Server 11.3.1 uses two schemas of Oracle database 12.1.0.2 for SE and EE as its metadata repository. These Oracle schema creation scripts are available in the IBM InfoSphere Information Server 11.3.1 installation files, as part of this process it also creates additional three more schemas named IAVIEWS, IGVIEWS, and CMVIEWS.
- The instructions in this document describe the metadata repository using an Oracle database.
- Many installation configurations are possible. For example, you can:
- Install all components (DataStage, WebSphere, and metadata repository) on the same server.
- Install components on separate servers.
- Use an existing WebSphere Application Server.
- Use an existing DB2 database for the metadata repository.
- JDA has tested the following configurations:
- WebSphere Application Server: All testing has been performed using the WebSphere version included with the IBM InfoSphere installation kit, installed on the same server as DataStage.
- Metadata Repository: All testing has been performed using Oracle 12c database.
- For installation and configuration instructions on different requirements, see the IBM InfoSphere InformationServer Installation Guide which is included on the installation media.
