1. Select File -> New -> Product Library -> Click on 'Browse' button to the right of the 'Primary Data Source' field (To specify the primary data source for the product library).
Note: For Space Planning 2017.1 and above, Product Library icon
can be found upon clicking File button on upper left
2. Select an existing DSN file for the data source if one has previously created for the product database and follow the sequence from step 11, else click on 'New' button to configure a new DSN for the performance/product library. The 'Create New Data Source' dialog box will display
3. Select a matching driver to the product database from the list of available drivers. E.g. For Access database, select the 'Microsoft Access Driver'; for Excel database, select 'Microsoft Excel Driver'
4. Click to 'Next' button.
5. Click on 'Browse' button to locate to the folder where to save the DSN file
6. Enter the name of DSN and click on 'Save' button to create new DSN
7. Click on 'Next' button and 'Finish' button
8. The ODBC driver opens a new dialog box for continuing with the setup
9. Select the database file by clicking 'Select' button from where the database file is located
Uncheck the 'Read Only' check box to not to create product/performance library in read-only mode
10. Click on 'OK' button twice to close the dialog box
11. Select the created DSN from available list and click on 'OK' button
12. Select the correct table from 'Primary table' drop down list
13. (Optional) Type a user name and password for accessing the primary table in the User Name field, as needed
14. (Optional) Repeat the procedure to configure a secondary data source, as needed
15. Go to 'General' tab
16. Select the 'primary key' and click on 'Formula' button (next to Planogram alias formula)
17. Go to 'Field Mapping' tab
18. Map the field in the product data that corresponds to the planogram identifier in the project to the 'Planogram Alias' field. This step ensures that the planogram-specific product data is copied to the Performance-level field associated with the appropriate planogram OR { Planogram Alias = Desc1(Planogram), if planogram alias mentioned in Planogram properties description }
19. Enter and select information in each of the Performance Library Field Mapping fields for each database field, as needed
20. Enter and select information on the Visible and Sort Fields and Filter tabs, as needed
21. Click OK
