How can multiple users access a Product Library?

By implementing a Microsoft Access database file that will be located in a shared drive it is more efficient as well as supports multiple users at the same time.

In order to be able to use the Source file by multiple users at the same time, follow the next steps:

1.  Validate that Microsoft Access Database file (*.mdb, *,accdb) is located in the shared location.
2.  Confirm that the user has access to the shared location.
3.  Each user needs to create the Product library file point to the shared Microsoft Access Database file in their local machine.

"Someone else is working in (file path). Please try again later"
"This action cannot be completed because the (unrelated open file) program is not responding. Choose "Switch To" and correct the problem"
"The Microsoft Office Access database engine cannot open or write to the file '(unknown)'. It is already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view and write its data."

The Excel file cannot support multiple users at the same time, hence it is not suitable to be used in a multi user environment.
