Resolution

No fix available at this time, not a defect, this is working as per design.

This validation was knowingly removed as part of the Pre-pick validation enhancement.
Considering requests from customer to have this functionality back a enhancement request is already underway.
Unfortunately this cannot be fixed as a bug because a detailed impact assessment has to be done by the PMG and PD to identify the components that needs to be changed to get this back.

Below is the objectives which were kept in mind when this was delivered.

Description
Warehouse Management now supports additional checks during the validation of picks before presenting the pick to the user. These additional checks include checking for holds and if the location was set to error. The system can also be configured to either skip or cancel the picks and if the picker is notified of the pick skip or cancel.

Overview
Customers want to direct the user to a pick location only if there is the correct product in the picking location to satisfy the pick. Events occur in the operations where the expected inventory may have been available in the location during the allocation process, but when it is time for the pick to occur, the required inventory may not be in the location. The most common reason for requiring a pick pre-validation is location consolidation; cycle counting or the location is put in "Error" status for reasons such as a tip-over in the location.

Benefits
->Allows the movement and adjustment of inventory when the inventory is committed to picks
->Increase picking efficiency by skipping or canceling picks that a user is not able to complete
