Resolution
User must obtain admin privileges or have someone with full admin privileges login to Windows. 

This will allow the user to then sign into the application, allowing access to the RedPrairie.Configuration module and the ability to set the device code (devcod).

Cause
  • After upgrading operating system (ex. Windows 10) user prompted whether or not to set device code settings.
  • Upon selecting 'Yes' to set device code settings user then received Client Application Hook error.
  • Issue cannot be traced since the request to select device code is prompted before user has the ability to turn tracing on.
  • The user does not have permission to access to the RedPrairie.Configuration module, which causes the Client Application Hook error.
